The lineage of Ruby-Collins, Inc., in its various forms, can be traced back to the late 1800s. Ed Ruby founded Ruby Construction, which became an incorporated company in 1952 in order to take advantage of the boom in business caused by the blossoming construction of the Eisenhower Interstate Highway System. This program alone had a value of over $425 billion dollars (adjusted for inflation) and was a fantastic incentive for businesses nationwide to incorporate themselves in order to contribute to this massive project.

Today, Ruby-Collins, Inc. is headquartered out of Smyrna, Georgia and mainly performs work in Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina. We are licensed in 11 states and have completed projects with budgets ranging from $25,000 up to $101,000,000. Ruby-Collins, Inc. specializes in Water and Wastewater Treatment Facilities, Utilities of all sizes, Sanitary Sewer Systems, Storm Water Systems, Water Systems and Force Mains, Pump Stations, and Tunnels. Ruby-Collins, Inc. has been a part of Georgia’s construction industry for many decades and continues to be one of the top leaders in the industry throughout the entire Southeast.

It is the policy of Ruby-Collins, Inc. to provide a safe and healthy work place for all its employees and abide with all federal, state and local safety regulations applicable to our Work.

No aspect of administration or operation is more important than accident prevention.  Our goal and focus is to eliminate personal injuries, property damage and needless waste that accompany unsafe practices.  Safety planning begins with the Pre-Construction process and continues through all phases of the project. Operations planning will ensure proper equipment is provided and create the necessary conditions to ensure a safe working environment. All project managers and supervisors have the responsibility to prevent accidents during all work that falls under their direction, and are required to provide the instruction and training of those they supervise. This practice ensures that all employees implement safe work practices and basic safety rules in every situation.

The creation of a truly safe work place requires the daily, active participation of every employee.  Training programs and safe work procedures exist in every facet of our work operations. All employees are expected to participate in, read, understand and abide by such safe work procedures and safety rules.  Any employee who willfully disregards safe practices/rules will be subject to strong disciplinary actions, up to and including termination of employment.  Working safely is a condition of continuous employment with the Ruby-Collins, Inc.

The Ruby-Collins, Inc. has adopted a loss control program designed to ensure the highest standards in all of its Work. We fully support ensuring compliance with the program’s policies, practices and procedures.  We strongly encourage each of you to join us in actively supporting safe job sites and safe work practices.
