Utility relocations were performed on this project in conjunction with a new pump station at Northside Drive and Woodward Way to allow for a new bridge on Northside Drive as well as a new pedestrian bridge. An existing 36” ductile iron water main was required to be relocated and placed aerial across the bridge. Tie ins for 36” relocation were performed simultaneously on both sides to expedite downtime of the line. Approximately 410 feet of new 36” water main was installed with 340 of those feet being aerial. Along with the water relocation, 415 feet of 24” and 200 feet of 8” gravity sewer were installed to the new pump station. 420 feet of new 18” and 440 feet of 8” force main were installed aerial across the new pedestrian bridge from the pump station to the existing trunk sewer that runs along Peachtree Creek. This project was completed in December 2020.
