North Anna Nuclear Power Station WWTP Replacement

This project consisted of modification and replacement of an existing 30,000 gallon per day wastewater treatment plant including all sitework and on-site utilities. Project was performed via a turnkey – engineering, procurement, and construction contract. Facility included the modification of an existing steel equalization tank by the installation of new concrete walls, mechanical screen, diffusers, and submersible pumps. The new aeration tank included submersible mixers, packaged attached growth media equipment and disc diffusers feed by positive displacement blowers. Project also included a new electrical building and backup generator. The existing facility had to be kept online during the construction of the new facility and then demolished after the new facility was put into operation.
