Lanier Pump Station Decommissioning

In an effort to update their existing sanitary sewer, Gwinnet County contracted Ruby Collins to install a new sanitary sewer line under HWY 78 located in Snellville, GA. This project consisted of the installation of 600LF of 8in DIP gravity sewer, 185LF 36" jack and bore, and the decommissioning of the existing pump station. Challenges of this project included extensive blasting of rock and mixed face conditions during the jack and bore under the roadway.
