Job Overview:
These positions will work closely with experienced Ruby-Collins employees. Main responsibilities will vary day-to-day, assisting with various necessary tasks. See below all the positions we are hiring for at this location:
- Laborers: The Laborer position will include but is not limited to the following duties.
- Be able to understand and work within company safety policies and procedures.
- Frequently use a variety of different hand tools.
- Perform manual labor to grade, level, and lift.
- Measure distances, set stakes, and pull tape measure.
- Mix concrete and perform essential brick/mason work.
- Operate basic power tools.
- Signal equipment operators as needed to align pipe or adjust machinery to grade.
- Mix concrete; smooth and finish freshly poured cement or concrete.
- Ability to nail, cut, bolt, or join different types of material together.
- Operators:
- Must be able to follow company safety policies and procedures.
- Must be able to follow OSHA guidelines for excavation and shoring.
- Proficiently operate excavators safely and efficiently, excavating, setting shoring, installing pipe, and backfilling.
- Ability to safely excavate near existing structures, utilities, and heavy traffic.
- Safely excavate and work around existing utilities.
- Must be a team player and able to work well with others.
- Able to place or remove underground utilities.
- Inspect equipment daily for proper operation and upkeep.
- Secure the worksite to ensure safety for the public and the job site even while not on site.
- Pipe layers:
- Must be able to follow company safety policies and procedures.
- Must be able to follow OSHA guidelines for excavation and shoring.
- Proficiently operate excavators safely and efficiently, excavating, setting shoring, installing pipe, and backfilling.
- Ability to safely excavate near existing structures, utilities, and heavy traffic.
- Safely excavate and work around existing utilities.
- Must be a team player and able to work well with others.
- Able to place or remove underground utilities.
- Inspect equipment daily for proper operation and upkeep.

- Carpenters:
- Various tasks based off the job duties required.
- Field Engineers:
- Project take-off and estimating assistance
- Soliciting subcontractor and supplier quotes for bidding and construction
- Preparing subcontracts and purchase orders
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of the project schedule
- Processing pay applications
- Assembling submittals, submittal logs, and other needed information for project
- Ordering material, equipment, and necessary items for project
Experience with automobile and tractor diagnosis preferred.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience.
- Maintain a valid drivers license.
- Flexibility to travel out of town occasionally.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
