Ruby-Collins May Monthly Report
Summer is finally here, and we could not be more excited for all the sun, fun, and time spent outdoors with friends and family. There are no summer slumps here at Ruby-Collins, we have been very busy as we approach some major milestones and completions of projects this month.
May Fast Facts:
- Pumps have been tied into the new discharge manifold piping at the Hartsfield-Jackson Manifold Improvements job site.
- Our pipe lining job at Peachtree Creek Trunk Stabilization is over 80% complete as of the end of May.
- At the City of Atlanta On-Call Sewer job, over 180 feet of 8-inch pipe bursting have been completed on Pine Tree Drive.
- The retaining wall and pump station have been installed at our Howell Mill Road Sewer Outfall job.
- All of the work at the Georgia Power Peachtree Substation has been completed, successfully diverting flow into a new 54-inch sewer!
Get Your Rear in Gear with Ruby-Collins:
Even though this event was just shy of May, it was one of the most fun things we did as a company so far this year! A group of employees got together at SunTrust Park on Saturday, June 1 with the Braves Country 5K presented by Mizuno! Participants ran through the streets surrounding SunTrust Park, before heading back to the ballpark to cross the finish line on the field, surrounded by cheering fans and Blooper.
We had a great turn out for team Ruby-Collins, with over 25 participants ranging from competitive runners to enthusiastic walkers from both the office and out on the job sites. Every race registration also came with a ticket to one of three Braves game options, giving us all another opportunity to get together to enjoy some Braves baseball later this month!
We are so grateful for our employees that woke up bright and early—even on a Saturday—for this race, and we can’t wait to participate in future events that are as good for our health as they are for our company culture!
Construction Joke of the Month:
