Safety & Risk Control

Ray Hudson, CSP

Ruby-Collins is serious about worker safety and risk control.

We consider those who work for us (our employees) to be our most valuable asset.  Their personal safety and that of others on our work sites is a vital concern of ours. Our policies, procedures and practices are designed to eliminate or minimize worker exposure to the serious hazards of our work to include fall prevention, safe excavations and managed confined space entry.

Our employees, our subcontractors’ employees and their supervisors are held “accountable” for working safely.

Working safely is a condition for continued employment with our Company.

Ruby-Collins, Inc. demonstrates its commitment to safety by performing its work according to established standards and practices designed to promote safe work by our employees and to prevent all (to include our subcontractors, vendors and the general public) from physical harm.

Our efforts to avoid and eliminate work injuries include

1) Effective hazard identification and assessment,

2) Planning for safe work,

3) On-going training in practices to avoid/minimize the likelihood of injury,

4) Routine area inspections for unsafe acts/conditions (and their correction), and

5) Development of a culture where work injuries are considered unacceptable!

Our continuous goal is to provide quality products on time, within budget and without injury, while maintaining a solid reputation as a responsible partner with our clients, our subcontractors, our vendors and the communities where we perform our work.

Our Company’s Risk Control efforts include our safety/accident prevention program and other effective risk management strategies.  Those strategies include implementation of Public Hazards Control plans and other loss control programs while maintaining adequate insurances for those perils associated with our construction work.
